Sergei Fedorov scored the 1100th point of his career in tonight's game against the Detroit Red Wings on a feed by Milan Hejduk. You've got to hand it to the other guys in the room though, they gave it their all tonight, he commented to the media.
A native of Russia, Sergei Fedorov was originally drafted to the NHL by the Detroit Red Wings in the 4th round of the 1989 entry draft. He has appeared in 1108 NHL games during his career, notching 461 goals and adding 639 assists along with 697 penalty minutes. The 38 year old center has played 53 games with the Edmonton Oilers this season, totalling 18+19=37 with 2 PIM.
